Councillor Neil Gardiner is Convenor of Edinburgh’s Planning Committee, providing political leadership for City Plan 2030, and is also Convenor of Pentland Hills Regional Park Committee. Neil also sits on the boards of Edinburgh World Heritage and Edinburgh and Lothians Green Space Trust. Neil studied architecture at Glasgow School of Art and as an exchange student at Lund University in Sweden. He has worked as an architect and urban designer in Berlin, Sao Paulo, Sydney and London as well as Scotland. He has also tutored in architecture and lectured in urban design at universities in Australia. As well as helping to raise a family in the city and following a local football team, Neil is also passionate about the sustainable future of Scotland’s Capital City.
Councillor Neil Gardiner will be speaking in the morning and afternoon of Thursday 17 June 2021 welcoming everyone to Edinburgh and introducing the city centre walking tours.
