Janet is a freelance consultant specialising in housing and regeneration, with over 30 years’ experience forming strategies and policies, leading and managing complex programmes and creating sustainable development, in local government, housing associations, the voluntary and private sectors. Her work includes neighbourhood renewal, effective community engagement, urbanism and housing for older people. She has authored “Design of Mainstream Housing for Downsizers” (Journal of Housing for the Elderly 2016), research with JTP, and written Viewpoints on Downsizing and case studies of good practice for the Housing LIN.
Janet has delivered affordable home ownership in London with Pocket Living, and was previously Director, JTP Cities; and held senior Housing positions with the London Boroughs of Lewisham and Camden. She is a Director of The Academy of Urbanism, a Board Member and Chair of the Services Delivery Committee of Aldwyck Housing Group, CIHM and FRSA.
